At Seopseom in Seogwipo, Jeju, branching hard coral is distributed together with sea-anemone colonies. It grows on rock and sand bottoms where shallow beginner zones and deep zones coexist.

Some hard corals are designated as protected marine species, but because the species identification of the Seopseom colony is unknown, whether individual species are protected needs to be verified (verify needed). Avoid contact while diving.
